Hellooo, everyone! I realise that it’s been quite a while since my last post and I’ve been off the radar a tad, so apologies for that! I thought I’d get back into the swing of things and share my August (whaaaat, where is 2017 going?!) favourites with you!
amika: Un.Done Texture Spray | £13.99
This is absolutely BRILLIANT. I got it in one of Birchbox’s special edition boxes so didn’t pay the full price for it, but when I’ve finished it, I will definitely be buying it again (regardless of the cost) because it’s SO worth it. It creates gorgeous, beachy, tousled hair that just lets you channel your inner Serena Van Der Woodsen and feel fab. My hair is like a limp lettuce normally but this actually gives me some serious volume! Totally obsessed with this stuff.
Too Faced Ethereal Setting Powder | £20
I realise £20 is a bit pricey, but for a high end brand like Too Faced, it’s great value for the amount of product you actually get. Also, look how pretty! This acts like a veil and adds a healthy, luminous glow to your face whilst setting your makeup and creating a heavenly finish.
Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette | £39
So I had the holiday blues after getting back from Vietnam and decided to treat myself with holiday change (Vietnam is SO cheap!) to this palette. The hype was major on social media and I was absolutely itching to get my hands on this product, so finally getting it home felt a bit like Christmas Day. I’ve loved playing around with the warm colours, especially the burnt oranges as they aren’t usually the kinds of colours I’d go for, so it’s been brilliant for experimenting and creating new looks! It’s not as pigmented as Naked 1 or 3 (the other UD palettes in my collection), but it’s still the same creamy formula and seems to be very buildable. I’ll do a full review after I’ve had more of a play around!
Zoella’s New Lifestyle Range | various prices
Zoella’s life is major goals, amirite? Her latest line of products, the Lifestyle Collection, is a permanent addition to her ever expanding empire and it’s SUPER cute. I would LOVE to be able to design a line like this; she’s got stationary, cushions, trinket trays, storage pots, the works! It’s heavenly. I got the Looking Sharp ring holder (£12), the Wonderful Journal (£15) and a set of two jotters (£10). They were on 3-for-2 on Superdrug online so if you want to treat yourself, the time is now! The colours are all gorgeous muted pinks, greys and golds and I can definitely see myself popping back for more.
Spectrum Collections Cute Little Oyster Roll | £24.99
It’s no secret that I’m rather obsessed with Spectrum Collections and will find ANY excuse to make a purchase, so naturally, I got this gorgeous, vegan make-up brush holder to store my brushes whilst on holiday – much to my boyfriend’s dismay (“You’ve got loads of make-up bags!”). It stores up to 12 brushes and it’s the stuff of mermaid dreams – I even used it as a clutch bag one day! Albeit with a little difficulty, but well worth it. It’s ethically beautiful and a lovely, iridescent, pearly pink colour that is both fun and timeless. What’s not to love?!
So there you have it! All the things I’ve been most loving this past month. I hope you enjoyed this post and that you’ve all had a top notch August! Click subscribe if you want to stay in touch with my posts and please let me know in the comments what products you’ve been most enjoying lately!
Thanks for reading, chums!
