Hellooo, everyone! I hope you’re all fine and dandy. This is just a quick one because I wanted to share with you all something that happened today that has made me incredibly happy and excited. For quite a few months, I have wanted to start a YouTube channel and have been trying desperately to save up for a decent camera. I know you don’t need a crazy expensive camera to take top notch photos and to make effective videos; there are talented people out there that make it look very easy with very limited tools. I am not one of those people. I have made do with my iPhone for taking pictures so far, but I’m no tech whizz AT ALL, so I just wouldn’t trust myself with a subpar camera for when it comes to making videos. I want to do it right.
I was totally prepared to save for months and months until I could afford to splash out on the camera of my wannabe-vlogger dreams; the Canon G7X Mark ii. Typically, things kept getting in the way. Like everyone else, I have OTT rent and bills to fork out for (damn you, adult life!), plus other items on my wishlist that I’m also saving for, so it seemed getting the camera was a ridiculously long way off. That is, until TODAY, when my fabulous, kind and supremely generous boyfriend bought me the camera! ARGHHH!! And here’s my new baby:
He’s not normally the flashy type and has never been in a position in the past where he’s been able to splurge on such a pricey item, but after a few successful jobs lately (he’s self-employed), he was able to make one of my little dreams come true! He has always been super supportive of my blogging and vlogging goals, so today just reiterated what a brilliantly encouraging, all-round good egg he really is! I’m so grateful and lucky.
I’m still getting to grips with how to use it properly (I’m like a granny, I swear) so the YouTube videos and vlogs won’t be coming until I’m completely confident with all the features, but it IS going to happen and that makes me so ridiculously excited and joyful! Isn’t Autumn just the gift that keeps on giving?!
Stay tuned, folks! Thanks for reading, as always.
