Hellooo, everyone! I hope you’re all fine and dandy. November is here; it’s colder, it’s darker so here’s a list of things that made me feel warmer and brighter throughout October!
Zoella Beauty Snow’Ella Body Mist | £12
This is an absolutely gorgeous, fresh and fun body mist from the queen of YouTube, Zoella. The packaging is adorable and looks oh so pretty on my dresser! I’m completely obsessed with it and continually douse myself in it throughout the day; it basically makes me feel like a lovely, fluffy cloud. I adore fragrances that smell clean and fresh, so this is just perfect.
The Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Butter | £10
I got this as a free gift from the VIP Body Shop Event that I went to a few weeks ago and it has quickly become one of my skin saviours. It’s not normally something I’d have picked up, so I’m very happy The Body Shop were generous enough to give these little beauties away! It’s a luxurious balm that you massage in to your skin to remove makeup and other beauty products you may be wearing, but I’ve been using it after already removing the majority of my makeup with a face wipe to really ensure my skin is clean and softened. I’ve been battling blocked pores and this balm has massively helped reduce them. It leaves my skin feeling squeaky clean, soft and moisturised. What a win!
Too Faced Best Year Ever Gift Set | £46
Sometimes you’ve just got to treat yourself, right?! I was doing a bit of Christmas shopping and found myself at the Too Faced counter (oops) and was incredibly excited to see their festive gifting was out. This set is amazing; it’s three little palettes that each contain 6 gorgeous, highly pigmented eyeshadows, a face product (blusher, bronzer, highlighter) and a mini Better Than Sex mascara, all housed in a limited edition makeup bag. You could give away each of the palettes as three separate gifts, or you could be really naughty like me and keep them for yourself…
Marlena by Julie Buntin | £14.99
I’ve only read about 2/3 of this intriguing novel so far and I’m hooked. The Playwrights’ Programme I’m currently on has an extensive fortnightly reading list, so it’s taken me a lot longer than usual to complete Marlena, but so far, it is gorgeous. It captures the feelings of adolescence perfectly; painting a vivid and painstaking picture of teenage friendship and relationships, and just how drastically our youth, and the decisions we made in our pasts, can shape us. There are some spine-tingly dark moments, the characters are multifaceted and the tale is deeply layered and strikingly observed. I can’t wait to see how the story ends! Stay tuned, a full review will follow.
Pixi by Petra Brow Tamer | £12
I got this magical little gel in September’s Glossybox and I bloody love it. I only started using it as part of my every day routine in October and now, my brows just don’t feel complete without it. It shapes them, allows me to add and choose the level of definition I desire and it sets them perfectly for the day so they don’t budge. Pixi beauty products are absolutely gorgeous, so this is yet another win for the range. If you don’t own it, I would 100% recommend making a purchase – it’s effing wonderful.
Soap & Glory Bath and Body Products | L-R £7, £6.50, £9
Well, these products smell absolutely, insanely divine! I’ve always loved Soap & Glory products, but haven’t been using anything other than their Scrub of Your Life as part of my regular routine for quite a while. That all changed when I took advantage of Boots’ 3-for-2 offer and I’ve fallen madly and deeply in love with the brand all over again. They’re reasonably priced, generously sized, they look and smell fabulous and they genuinely work! How could you not love this stuff?
So, that’s all the main things I’ve been most loving throughout October. What products have been your favourites recently? Let me know in the comments below!
Thanks for reading, chums!
Much love,
Jess XO

I also love the fresh scent of Zoe’s Christmas range – I love the big bubble bath in the glass jar and the hand cream. I love Body Shop stuff also – their red lipsticks are a fave of mine. I might have to try out that cleansing butter~!
